Dada Economics chugs along with the second in a series of Arbitrary Art Grants. This time we turn our sites to performance art, with what should prove to be an interesting, and exciting event all around. In honor of the NW New Works Festival at Seattle’s On The Boards, this grant will take place outside the theater in the hour before the festival debuts. Vital 5 will award $500.00 to one random performer actively protesting performance art on the NW corner of W. Roy and 1st Avenue West (On The Boards) on June 5th, between 7:00 and 8:00 pm. One sign holding performer will be handed $500.00 cash, the day of the event. As always, there is no application or judge.
This protest will be filmed and exhibited as part of the Dada Economics exhibit at the 2009 Bumbershoot Festival.
We hope to see you Friday, both in and out of the theater!
