RUBBER DUCKS AND DINOSAURS INVADE VITAL 5
On Friday, July 13th, Vital 5 proudly presents a solo exhibition of paintings by Chris Thompson. From Twinkie barbecues to rubber duck shark attacks, Chris Thompson's dark humor invades Vital 5 with a new body of oil paintings as equally beautiful as they are disturbing. His unusual visions of dinosaurs, Santa and road-kill re-invent the objects of everyday life into playful and clever landscapes.
A graduate of Cornish Art School, this represents Mr. Thompson's fist solo gallery exhibition. Having created album covers for bands such as Sunny Day Real Estate and Sky Lobby, he has displayed work in Black Lab gallery, Roq la Rue and Cake magazine.
